It's Not Over Till I Decide to Stop Writing
Tonight, the sad feeling at the end of the game was not about losing the game; it was sadness over no longer having an excuse to meet to play soccer together. So a few more words:
1. We had a great time together and it showed. I thoroughly enjoyed coaching these young ladies.
2. For those who want to continue to play soccer, I will add a few more posts in the next week or two to describe some opportunities to play on the Minneapolis United Club team in the future, if your child wants to play in a more competitive league.
3. For those who want an excuse to get together to kick the ball around and have some fun, we can always find places to do that, both indoors or outdoors. So, start thinking that a "play date" could be as fun playing soccer with a group of girls than whatever else it is that girls do on their play dates.
Finally, I just want to say that it was so fun to see how each player improved over the season. It feels great to see them do something on the field that they are proud of, to feel proud of themselves.
Thank you for all your encouragement both of me and the girls. I appreciated your support and enthusiasm. Take care and look out for more info in the future.
